Technical guidance - water reuse risk management for agricultural irrigation schemes in Europe
This report provides guidance for the establishment of the Risk Management Plan as stated in Article 5 of the Water Reuse Regulation 2020/741. It ensures technical assistance in the implementation of the key elements of risk management set out in Annex II of the regulation. In addition an overview of the current EU progress on water reuse in the European Union, of the Water Reuse Regulations and the principal approaches and guidelines for risk management in water reuse system is shown. The reader finds a recommended approach to develop a Risk Management Plan for a water reuse system as well as a a series of case studies of water reuse systems from several EU Member States (MS) that were presented during a series of Technical Workshops on Risk Management for Agricultural Irrigation in Europe, organized by JRC between May and November 2021.
