Unfavourable start to the season for spring cereals
In northern Kazakhstan, the spring sowing campaign was concluded in early June. Early growth of spring cereals has been below average due to sparse rainfall. Winter wheat is in better shape, particularly in southern Kazakhstan, and yield expectations are above the 5-year average.
